15 Nov Downtown Memphis Sunset Cannon Center Wedding
We are officially done with weddings for 2016! We will still be busy the next few months with lots happening behind the scenes and time spent on re-energizing for next year, but we are tickled pink to end this year’s wedding season with a bang! We have been on pins and needles for this wedding, this celebration, this couple, ever since their Nashville engagement session! And once you see our recap of their day, we know you’ll understand why!
It’s no secret that Ed and I celebrate JOY wherever and whenever possible. As soon as we met Robyn and Nick, we knew they were the perfect couple for us! These two love with abandon, and lots and lots of joy!! Robyn’s smile can light up a room, and when she is with Nick, they are nonstop smiles and giggles. We knew their wedding would be a day of nothing but laughter and tears of joy, and we weren’t wrong!
Another thing we have in common with Robyn and Nick is a mutual love of sunsets. Seriously, just check out Ed’s Instagram. It’s full of them! (Yes, he’s THAT guy). Their engagement session hinted at sunset, with Robyn’s outfits starting off in a soft blue, then a warm orange, and ending with a sparkly sunset with the Nashville skyline in the distance. So when we heard that they were planning a sunset-themed wedding, we got even more excited! The awesome Andria Lewis and Ashly McCormick pulled together a beautiful sunset design using long tables with flower arrangements that started with white, transitioned into yellows and oranges, then ended with reds that faded into the real sunset behind the glass windows. Just wait until you see it!
Robyn and Nick, we can’t think of a better way to end out wedding season than celebrating with YOU! We loved every second of it. Whatever you do, keep being yourselves, and never stop smiling!!
The ladies were stunning in navy! Also, how perfect is this sign??
Squeee! Robyn, you looked AMAZING!
The room was full of emotion when Robyn walked down the isle!
Tearfully joyful vows…
We got lucky and found some roses that were still in bloom, and this fountain made the perfect backdrop for portraits! These two couldn’t take their eyes off each other!
See what I mean? SO JOYFUL!
I love it when I have time to grab a shot of the couple in the room before guests are seated! Everything was timed around sunset, of course.
First Dance as husband and wife!
Naturally, the toasts were full of laughter!
This may not be the perfect room shot, but I love the gentle glow of almost spent candles after a celebration of love.
Robyn and Nick, we can’t thank you enough for ending the year with us! You were just what we needed to finish out the year and enter a season of rest and inspiration. We love you so much! Thank you for being you.
