06 Aug Amy + Sam | a Summer Pink Palace Wedding
On most days, when Amy walks into a room, there’s a noticeable shift in the brightness. Her smile lights up the darkest places, and people naturally gravitate toward her. She is a stunning beauty, but she doesn’t know it, and that’s the best kind. But more than that, Amy is nothing but heart.
On her wedding day, not only did she light up the room with her beautiful smile and elegant grace, but there were audible gasps from everyone who saw her. Though this day was made just for her and Sam, they continually whispered to each other throughout the day that it just didn’t seem real. Everything was perfect, and Amy circled the room, making sure that everyone had everything that they needed. Sam knew how lucky he was to be joining his life to hers, and he nervously and excitedly waited for the moment that she would be his wife.
A trio of pastors married Amy and Sam, and each could tell stories for hours about Amy’s kindness and generosity, Sam’s compassion and understanding, and how they were destined for each other. Their bridal party stood by their sides and nodded along, agreeing with every word as they pledged their lives to each other. Amy may have the biggest heart in the world, but on this day, she was giving it completely to Sam.
Getting a first glance of the dress is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. Nothing could have brought out Amy’s natural beauty better than this Maggie Louise gown!
Amy looked stunning as she got ready for her day, and these are some of my favorite preparation photos ever!
She was surrounded by 11 bridesmaids who oohed and giggled happily as Amy became a bride.
Amy and Sam chose to see each other before the ceremony, and Sam was the definition of calm excitement as he waited for his first sight of her.
So sweet.
Though it was close to 100 degrees outside, these two handled it like pros! Once they were together, they didn’t care about anything else!
Nothing better than a little wind and a long veil! <3
The bridesmaids all wore blue, and it was the perfect, cooling color for summer! We were thrilled to photograph Ellen again, this time as a bridesmaid! The girls were all gorgeous…
And the guys were all naturally dapper! This was such a large, fantastic group of GOOD LOOKING people!
There’s nothing more classic than a cathedral length veil walking down the isle!
Married! Sam is obviously ecstatic about it!
Just a couple more portraits right at sunset after the ceremony.
The reception was at the Pink Palace, and it was gorgeous! Kevin Griffin did an amazing job making everything look (and smell!) amazing!
Once the party started, it didn’t stop! Everyone had such a great time, and the bride and groom were happy to stay in each others’ arms all night.
Amy and Sam, thank you so much for letting us share in your beautiful day! No one deserves happiness like the two of you, and I can’t wait to see where you go from here! I know the world has great things in store for you, and you both make it a better place.
