08 Sep Pink Palace Fairy Tale Wedding
Kanesha and Bates really do live a fairy tale life. They are deeply in love, they are both insanely musically talented, and they have the cutest little boy ever. They were officially married some time ago, in a small private ceremony, with Bates’ dad as the officiant. They are content and spend their days chasing their dreams, and their son. The only thing that was missing was the fairy-tale wedding that Kanesha had been dreaming about since she was a little girl.
Kanesha is true royalty, a princess at heart. She always envisioned a wedding with a designer dress, Cinderella shoes, and red roses. She would send out invitations from India that played music when you opened them, her own voice singing the words to “At Last,” while her Prince played the music on the piano. She would be draped in jewels, and he would be adorned with pheasant feathers. Everyone would clap and rejoice as she kissed her Prince under a shimmering chandelier. She would leave the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage, and her wedding cake would sit atop a smaller one. Candles would hang from invisible thread, while she sat with family and friends to celebrate at tables sparkling in red and gold sequins.
That was her fairy tale.
So her Bates, a true Prince (with a lot of help from his mom), made it happen. Every last detail.
And Bates’ dad was happy to officiate. Again.
I love the excitement on Kanesha’s face when she explained the vision behind her designer gown!
Bates is a man of few words, but he sure can rock a suit!
Kanesha and Bates decided to see each other before the ceremony, and their First Look was full of such tender moments!
Kanesha and Bates alternated between giggly, joyous moments, and quiet, calm ones. They were a dream to photograph!
The guys looked very dapper. And yes, their bow ties are made of wood!
The Pink Palace looked amazing! Both the ceremony and reception spaces were dressed to the nines. Holliday Flowers did an amazing job making the place look gorgeous with so many flowers and dripping candles!
A favorite moment: Bates playing the guitar as Kanesha made her way down the isle.
Their first, post-wedding family photo 🙂
If this isn’t a reception fit for a princess, I don’t know what is! My favorite detail? Those napkins!
Kanesha and Bates, thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your own, personal fairy tale! Everything was beautiful, fit for royalty, and we are honored to have documented it. Cheers!
