15 Jan Temi + Michael: Joined | an Opera Memphis Wedding
By the time their wedding day came, Temi and Michael had really already been married for nearly two months. They had a traditional Nigerian wedding… in Nigeria. So they may have been legally married, but Temi had to return to her home in the states, and Michael remained behind to tie up loose ends in Nigeria. So, while they were technically married, they still didn’t have much time together, nor were they even in the same time zone!
When I walked in and saw Temi on her wedding day, she looked beautiful! I asked her how she was feeling, and she said she was feeling good, but since they were already married, the day didn’t seem to be as big a deal as she was expecting. That changed as soon as she was walking up behind Michael to see him for the first time. Dressed in her gorgeous white gown, carrying her beautiful flowers, she saw him standing there waiting for her, and it all hit her. She got emotional and tears welled in her eyes as she realized she was about to confess her love for this man… all over again.
I loved Temi’s wedding gown! It was beautiful, and so perfect for her! Just the right amount of lace and sass!
It took two pairs of hands to get all those buttons done!
Meanwhile, Michael was getting ready his own way, including stylish cufflinks and Chanel.
I love this photo Ed captured right before their First Look.
Temi and Michael chose to see each other before the ceremony, and I’m so glad that they did! This small moment of privacy and anticipation gave Temi just what she needed to realize the importance of this wedding day. Their First Look was intimate and sweet!
Ed got the perfect shot of Temi’s face as she was overcome with emotion.
Temi’s ladies all looked lovely in coral – perfect for a fall wedding!
The guys were quite dapper too, and entertaining all day long!
This ring bearer was so cute!
I always love the moment when a groom sneaks a peek at his bride after she walks down the isle!
I love this photo so much because it perfectly shows the joy on Temi’s face, and how much FUN she was having after being married!
After the ceremony, we took a little time for sunset portraits before their Opera Memphis reception began.
I am, clearly, very funny.
Temi, you were the most gorgeous bride!
Michael made for a very handsome groom. Don’t they look so good together?
I always love Ed’s perspective. This one is a favorite!
Opera Memphis looked lovely, dressed all in shades of blue and coral.
I loved Temi and Michael’s entrance! They danced into the room, between two lines made by their bridal party. It was so fun, and these two know how to party!
Ed’s shots of the First Dance were my fave!
But I do love this one of them, in their own little world, just enjoying being married!
Temi and Michael, thank you so much for allowing us to capture your day! It was beautiful in every way, and your happiness was infectious! We were so glad to have gotten to know you!
A special thank you to everyone who made this day so awesome:
