17 Nov Alicia + Nick | an Opera Memphis Wedding
We had been waiting for this day for such a long time! When we first spoke to Alicia and Nick, we were unavailable for their wedding day. They worked with us and changed their wedding date so that we could be there to photograph them on the most important day of their lives. That means so much to us, and words cannot expressed how blessed we are to know these two! It has been nearly an entire year since their Christmas-themed engagement session, so we were so excited to get our cameras on them again!
Everything about Alicia and Nick’s Opera Memphis wedding was perfect – the weather, the details, and the entire wedding party! Both the bride and groom have so much class and style. Alicia used glamorous accessories for her wedding look, and had her amazing reception dress custom-made! Nick was dressed to the nines with a velvet bowtie and colorful socks. We love it when our grooms have a fun sense of style! Nick gets the wedding gift of the year award. He gave his bride a pair of red-bottomed Christian Louboutins!
Opera Memphis looked beautiful all dressed up in black, white, and purple. Everything was gorgeous, and the party went all night long! I have to say, in all the weddings we have ever been to, we have never seen dancing like we did this night!

Ed made sure we included this bottle of Gentleman Jack in the groom’s photos!
Alicia and Nick chose to see each other before the ceremony, and their First Look was so sweet! Nick took Alicia in his arms and they had a moment of prayer before we jumped into portraits. I loved that!
Alicia and Nick are effortless to photograph!
The bridal party was amazing, and everyone was so helpful!
Mandatory sock photo!
The ceremony was beautiful. Nothing like candles for saying “I do!” Or yelling it. Nick yelled out his “I do,” and it was awesome.
Nick couldn’t stop a tear from escaping when his bride walked down the isle.
Married!
And so excited about it!
We always love photographing Opera Memphis. It’s such a snazzy space!
The first dance was sweet and then fun!
Then the party really got started!
I love this photo so much! You guys may remember Lauren and Anthony, Kiley and Lofton, and April and Reggie. I love having my couples together in the same place!
Alicia and Nick, I’m kind of sad it’s all over! We had such a great time with you guys, from the engagement, to the planning, to the wedding day! I know you are enjoying the Dominican Republic, and I can’t wait to hear all about it!
