morgan + ian: joined. a woodland hills wedding.

Morgan and Ian are not afraid of a little color in their lives. In fact, they are not afraid of a lot of color. Their myriad of shades is what makes them so perfect for each other, and what makes their life together so interesting and fun. Their personalities, friends, families, and tastes include every hue of the rainbow. So when it came time for their wedding day, they played no favorites and included them all.

Morgan and Ian pledged their love and lives to each other just days before Independence Day. Though they are no longer independent, the fireworks popping in the sky at the end of the night seemed a proper tribute to their love. The perfect ending to a day full of celebration. Of every color.

The day’s events began at Woodland Hills, with a beautiful gown and the perfect pair of shoes.

Morgan had her hair and makeup done pin-up style, and it could not have suited her better!

Morgan! You kill me. In a good way.

Meanwhile, Ed was making sure Ian was relaxed and ready.

Morgan and Ian chose to see each other before the ceremony, and I am SO. GLAD. THEY. DID. This may be my favorite First Look photo ever! Ian actually let out an audible gasp when he saw Morgan, and I was able to capture that moment for them forever.

It was hot outside, but we took a few minutes for some portraits in the shade.

They were so glad to finally get to spend the day together! Ed’s photo on the right.

My favorite. (audible) Gasp.

The wedding party was amazing. Not only were they super helpful, but they kept the party going all. day. long.

Every color represented!

Morgan made all the fans for the day herself.

Daddy-daughter moments have a special place in my heart, and I love this photo of Morgan’s dad looking at her one last time before giving her away.

Such a beautiful day for a wedding.

Married!

We took just a few minutes for those necessary we-just-got-married! photos after the ceremony.

A beautiful couple in beautiful light. Ed’s photo on the left, and yes, I’m jealous.

The reception was full of little handmade details.

The First Dance…

Morgan and Ian were surrounded by their friends all night long.

Since it was only a few days before July 4th, we had to play with some sparklers…

Morgan and Ian, it was an honor and a joy to spend your wedding day with you. Life has been brand new for you, with a new house, new jobs, and a new marriage. I can’t wait to see where it takes you!

[…] Morgan and Ian were married a couple years ago, and since then, they’ve had a very lovely lady join their lives. Zooey is everything a little princess should be: gorgeous, well-behaved, and she takes everything in stride. We have really enjoyed watching her grow over the past year! We spend quite a bit of time with Morgan and Ian, so when Zooey was turning one, it was a no-brainer that I would be there to capture it! […]
