10 Feb April + Reginald: Joined | a Memphis New Year’s Eve Wedding

There’s something so special about the New Year. It’s full of new beginnings, new chances, new opportunities, new goals. The start of a new year brings a fresh wealth of as yet unknown experiences. These special moments are full of potential,  just waiting to happen. April and Reggie knew that they wanted this year to be extra memorable. They started it off right with a sparkling New Year’s Eve wedding! They celebrated this intimate affair with only their closest loved ones. What better way to ring in the start of a brand new year than with a brand new marriage?

April is such a joy to be around, and so beautiful, not just outside, but inside! I don’t know of anyone who has a kinder heart. I knew she would make a stunning bride, and I was right! She was calm, collected, and elegant on her wedding day, and a smile spread across her face all day long. She was happy to be surrounded by friends and family, but even happier to be marrying the love of her life! It was New Year’s Eve, it was her wedding day, but one of the things she was looking forward to most was surprising her husband to be with his very own cigar and whiskey bar for the reception. Her thoughts and heart go to him first, always. He, in turn, wants only for April to be happy and to take care of her. Reggie, like us and everyone else, knew how lucky he was to end the day as April’s husband!

They are indeed made for each other, and their wedding day was a perfect reflection of the joy and celebration that surrounds their love!

Guests got their first hint of the party to come when they received their save the dates, with an envelope full of confetti!

April’s dress could not have been more perfect for her, and all her details were full of sparkle! Glitter shoes with hearts on the inside? Yes, please!

April, you couldn’t have been more gorgeous!

Reggie took a breath right before he got to see his bride.

April and Reggie chose to see each other before the ceremony, and I’m so glad that they did! Because their reception would go all the way to midnight, their ceremony started a bit later than usual, and a First Look gave us plenty of daylight to get in lots of beautiful portraits!

Plus… look at this sweet moment!

They are such pros in front of the camera!

My favorite shot of the day, and perhaps my favorite of the year! I loved the way the sun reflected off this metal sculpture!

April’s gorgeous ladies were full of sparkle! And yes, those are peonies in the middle of winter. Stunning!

Nothing says a New Year’s Eve wedding like gold sequins!

Reggie’s dad and brothers stood with him, and they all looked very dapper in their black tuxes! I always love a clean, classic tuxedo!

Gold and sparkle everywhere! The Cannon Center looked absolutely amazing, thanks to Andria Lewis Events!

April’s mom walked her down the isle, and I love this embrace between her and Reggie.

Married!

The reception space looked beautiful, in shades of gold and pink, with intimate tables set for a small guest list.

As April and Reggie shared their first dance, the shades around the perimeter of the room raised, revealing the famous Memphis “M” Bridge in the background!

I think it’s safe to say that Reggie was quite pleased with his cigar bar on the patio!

At midnight, everyone gathered on the patio to ring in the New Year with champagne and streamers!

April and Reggie, thank you so much for including us in your awesome New Year’s wedding! Everyone had a great time, and there was no other way we would rather ring in the New Year! Happy New Year, and happy marriage!!
