03 Feb Kem + David: Joined | a Memphis Esplanade Wedding
Kem and David have been together a long time. They knew they were in love. They knew they wanted a life together. They knew forever was not long enough. But they also knew that they had to wait for the right time. So, when that time came, they were tired of waiting! They were ready to get married, and they wanted their new life to start as soon as possible. Their engagement lasted only 3 short months, but they still managed to have the wedding of their dreams!
Kem and David are not afraid of a little sparkle, and a lot of glam. Their wedding was the perfect reflection of their own style. It was a day filled with fun, excitement, lots of bling, and a few surprises. Through it all, David and Kem managed to be themselves completely, always taking care of their loved ones first and spreading their joy and love as far as it would reach.
I knew it was going to be a good day as soon as I saw Kem’s sparkly shoes! I wasn’t surprised at all by the touch of Tiffany blue on the soles. They have managed to include a bit of this color in every stage of their wedding planning, from their engagement party, their family lifestyle session, and now finally, their wedding day.
Kem looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day!
Kem and David chose to see each other before the ceremony, and I’m so glad that they did! David couldn’t hold back his emotions when he finally laid eyes on his bride!
We found the perfect alley lighting for some gorgeous portraits.
Kem was surrounded by such gorgeous ladies, and they all made the day so much fun!
And they guys were a blast too! I loved the blue suits and the touch of fun with their polka dots socks!
The ceremony was filled with lots of laughter…
And a few tears. My favorite part of their ceremony was they time they took to honor both their parents.
The reception decor was amazing, and I have never seen the Esplanade look better! Andria Lewis Events did an over-the-top amazing job with making Kem and David’s visions a reality.
The First Dance…
A sweet moment between mother and son…
The best part of the reception was the surprise appearance by PJ Morton. Maroon 5 is Kem’s favorite band, and PJ is her favorite musician. The look on her face when he came in singing was priceless!
The toasts were all fabulous, but my favorites were the ones given by Kem’s own daughter and son. It’s so uplifting how much they want their mom to be happy, and how much they love David!
At the end of the day, Kem and David just wanted to have fun with their family and friends, and I’d say that’s exactly what happened!
Kem and David, thank you so much for entrusting your wedding day memories with us! It was such an honor to spend the day with you, and we so enjoyed watching you celebrate your love! Thank you!
