16 Jul Romantic Spring Memphis Courthouse Wedding
Ed and I felt an immediate kinship with Heather and Brandon. They are basically a younger, cuter version of us! Heather is an ecologist, and the guys had to stop us girls from talking scienc-y things all day. On the other hand, Brandon works in the tech field, like Ed, and they could have lengthened the day with their own conversation. They have the same ideals we do and hold fast to love, marriage and family. Their courthouse wedding was simple, romantic, and the perfect representation of their relationship.
The four of us easily got into a rhythm of chatting that made us all comfortable. Very early in our conversations, we discovered another factor that links us: Harry Potter.
Not too long ago, Heather and Brandon went on a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando. While they insist that they are not die-hard Harry Potter fans, they decided to get robes and go all in. I love their adventurous spirit and ability to submerge themselves in the fantasy of such a magical place! Heather had no idea it was about to become even more magical. They were taking in the sights of the castle from a nearby bridge when a very nice Swedish family offered to take their photo. Brandon thought this serendipitous moment would be the perfect time to get down on one knee and ask Heather to be his wife! Now they have an epic photo of their proposal. In their wizard robes. With a castle in the background.
That’s a story their grandkids will love!
Romantic Spring Memphis Courthouse Wedding
Heather and Brandon agreed to forgo the big wedding and opted for a courthouse wedding instead. They wanted to be married, to celebrate their love with their closest family. We joined them at the Shelby County Courthouse as they said their vows and signed all the legal documents that now make them husband and wife. Then we took some time to document the occasion with some timeless elopement photos. That way, their grandkids will look back at these photos and see the love that they have for each other, and how happy they were on this special day.
There may not be a castle in the background, but this story is just as important!
Heather and Brandon, I mean it when I say that we are so honored to have shared this day with you! You share a very special connection, one that we are happy to have experienced first hand. Enjoy this little sneak peek of the first day of your marriage!
