17 Apr Bethany + Zac | a Memphis Columns Wedding
We knew we loved Bethany and Zac the minute we met them! Bethany has style in abundance, and a sense of humor that keeps everyone laughing all day. Her smile lights up the room, and she is the most loyal friend. Her determination is enviable. Zac is tender and quiet where Bethany is outgoing and boisterous, in all the best ways. He is extremely heartfelt and generous, and just recently raised over $200,000 for the Boys and Girls Club. Yet Zac is fun-loving, while always taking charge when needed. Together, they make a mirthful, organized team. In short, they have everything they need, and they compliment each other perfectly!
Bethany and Zac wanted a very personal wedding. Everything was chosen with care, down to the pom moms and Elvis sunglasses favors. They weren’t worried about breaking traditions, as long as they did things their way. Yet everything was incredible beautiful and cohesive! At the end of the day, they got exactly what they wanted: a beautiful start to their marriage, and a exuberant party to celebrate with their friends and families!
Bethany and the girls started the day in the Penthouse suite of the downtown Memphis Springhill Suites hotel. Did I mention that Bethany has style?? The two-story penthouse was incredible, with its own private rooftop terrace.
Bethany started her wedding morning with a spin class. Yes, a spin class! Talk about dedication! She made the happiest bride ever! I completely adored the matching rompers she and the bridesmaids wore while getting ready.
Bethany had no problems getting dressed outside. There’s no way we weren’t going to use the private rooftop!
Even the flower girl had style! I wish I could take credit for her pose, but that sass is all hers!
Meanwhile, Zac and his guys were eager to start the day. Zac had a special notebook just for his vows.
Bethany and Zac chose to see each other before the ceremony, and there was no better place for their First Look than the rooftop! We could not have ordered better weather. I love First Looks, because they allow for intimate, natural moments like this:
Bethany has the best laugh!
I love this shot of Ed’s. It really captures their personalities!
Zac’s nephew was the ring bearer, and he stole everyone’s hearts! My favorite shot of him was this one of Ed’s. How adorable is he??
Okay, let’s talk about these girls for a minute. First of all, Bethany has so many amazing friends! These girls were classy yet fun, and always willing to help, without even asking. Plus, they are all GORGEOUS! I love the mix and match style of their dresses! This may be my favorite bridesmaid photo ever!
Yes, the guys rocked it out too. We had so much fun with these guys!
The ceremony and reception were held at the historic Columns building, and it looked gorgeous for the occasion! I really loved Bethany’s colors and almost nautical touches.
A moment of excitement between Bethany and her dad before walking down the isle, captured by Ed. THIS is why I could never shoot without Ed! He’s always at the back while I’m at the front, for unforgettable moments like this.
Married! And obviously ecstatic about it!
The Columns looked amazing after being transformed for the reception.
A tender moment between Bethany and her stepdad…
The Columns was once a bank, and the old vault is still in the basement. We had to grab a shot down there!
Bethany and Zac left to a wave of pompoms. Her alma mater on the left, his on the right!
Bethany and Zac, your day turned out to be everything we were expecting and more! We loved getting to know you, and all your personal wedding details were perfect! Enjoy the Turks & Caicos Island next month, when you finally get to go on that honeymoon!!

Posted at 08:05h, 19 AprilAmy, getting to re-live the night through your photography has been special and it was such a pleasure having you capture an amazing day! I don’t believe it was any small coincidence that we found you guys as I can tell that much more than just a photographer/customer relationship was formed. I can’t wait until we get to have the viewing party with you and Ed!
