12 Oct megan + steven: joined. a memphis wedding.
It was the first cooler day after a scorching summer. Not exactly a cold spell, but pretty comfortable compared to usual temperatures in the South. The light was low and beautiful, and it was a perfect day for a wedding!
Megan was as cool and collected as they come while she was preparing for the day. And she never stopped smiling. She smiled knowing her husband-to-be was just down the hall, getting dressed and ready to see her. She giggled at private jokes that she shared with her closest friends. She smiled as she walked down the isle toward her groom, and she positively grinned as she walked back down with her husband. Afterwards, she beamed at her new husband as they entered their reception, hand in hand in marriage for the first time.
Megan’s smiles are infectious. So Steven smiled right along with her. All day long. She smiled because Steven makes her happy. And that makes him happy.
What better way to start a wedding day than with an amazing pair of blue heels!?
I nearly jumped for glee when I saw that Megan had chosen lots of lace for her wedding ensemble. Classic and beautiful!
The day’s festivities began at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where her mom, sister, and friends helped Megan prepare for the day.
Megan and Steven chose to see each other before the ceremony, and he simply lit up when he laid eyes on Megan! Steven, usually so cool and collected, couldn’t help grinning when he saw her.
After sharing their tender moment together, we went right into some portraits. Special thanks to my daughter Morgan for being a fantastic reflector holder.
While I was shooting from another angle, Ed grabbed these shots, and I adore them!
Megan, you make a stunning bride!
Of course we had to get details of that lace back. Gorgeous!
I love Steven’s nonchalant-ness. Ed’s photo on the right.
Dude, you clean up gooood!
I always love pretty arches. Especially with a pretty couple!
Ed’s shot, and I’m jealous.
Megan had the best group of girls to stand by her all day! The blue is for the Memphis Tigers, of course. Steven is a huge fan.
These are seven dapper men, ya’ll.
There’s just something that I LOVE about this photo Ed caught of the girls hanging out while the guys were having their turn with photos. It’s just fun.
I’m always partial to Catholic weddings!
I love it when we’re able to capture two different angles during a ceremony! Ed was stationed in the balcony while I was a bit closer.
The ceremony was beautiful and traditional…
Megan and Steven held their reception on the campus of the University of Memphis. Where else for all that blue?
The First Dance…
Eat, drink, and be married!
Ed’s view of the grand exit.
