18 Sep kiley + lofton: joined. a memphis wedding.
Throughout the whole day (and the evening before), Kiley held it together. It was a day full of emotion and pure joy, but she managed to keep all the tears from falling. Lofton, on the other hand, could do nothing to stop the tears of joy. From the toasts the night before at the rehearsal dinner, to the moment Kiley walked down the isle, Lofton had to keep the tears in check.
And then the tables turned. While Lofton’s eyes were wet when he glimpsed his bride, a smile soon replaced them as he said his vows and became a husband. Hand in hand, they both walked out of the church with dry eyes. Then the reality of being a wife, and all her love for Lofton, hit Kiley, and she was suddenly the one crying. For the first time alone together that day, Kiley cried tears of joy for the promises she had just recited and the new life they were about to celebrate.
Like yin and yang, Kiley and Lofton are meant to be, and only as true soul mates can, they compliment each other in ways unending. Each fills the gaps the other needs. Each gives strength, support, and love willingly to the other. And each fit together and make whole a life that was incomplete until now.
Kiley is a true princess, and her wedding day gown and accessories couldn’t have been more perfect for her!
Though eager to get dressed, Kiley made sure to take her time and enjoy each moment!
Such a stunning bride!
Meanwhile, Lofton was readying himself for the moment when he could finally lay eyes on Kiley.
Kiley had an amazing group of girls to help her through the day, and they all rocked the camera, even though it was hot!
A few more portraits of the gorgeous bride…
I love this shot from Ed’s angle!
The church was beautifully decorated in white and purple for the occasion.
Lofton’s first glimpse of his bride. His emotion was beautiful!
Married!
I love this shot of Lofton just soaking in his new wife!
The reception was packed with well-wishers who wanted to congratulate and celebrate with the happy couple!
I loved Kiley’s party dress! Much easier to move in for the First Dance!
Kiley and her dad did an adorable, fully choreographed dance, in true Kiley fashion!
The toasts were heartfelt and entertaining, and Lofton managed to stay dry-eyed!
This shot that Ed captured toward the end of the night pretty much sums up the whole day.
Kiley and Lofton, where do I start? This has been an amazing journey, and we are truly blessed to have had nearly an entire year with you! You are both amazing people, and the love you share is inspiring! I cannot wait to see where you go from here! Thank you so much for including us along the way.
Here’s to tears of joy. And not being afraid to show your emotion. And being part of a whole. Cheers!
