20 May kellie + kevin: a memphis wedding.
Kevin loves Kellie. A lot. You can tell by the way he looks at her, by the gentle way he holds her, by the way his face lights up when he’s near her. But even if it wasn’t such an obvious kind of love, you would still know how much he loves her. You would know, because he moved halfway across the world to be with her.
Kellie and Kevin met in Newcastle, England. It didn’t take long for Kevin to know he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He proposed, and she said yes, because Kellie feels the same way about Kevin as he does for her. They knew they couldn’t be separated. So, when she moved back to the states, he left his Newcastle home and went with her.
Soon after, the were wed in Memphis, where most of Kellie’s family still lives. They planned a beautiful afternoon wedding and a ceremony that brought happy tears to Kellie’s eyes. But, even though the day went by without a hitch, the only thing that mattered to Kellie was that at the end of the day, they were married. Toward the end of the reception, when asked how it felt to be finally be married, Kellie said with gleaming eyes and a shining grin, “It’s better than I ever could have imagined.”
And that says it all.
Kellie and Kevin, we were so honored to spend the day with you! We loved being there with you as you said your vows during a lovely, quiet ceremony. And we loved being there with you to celebrate the day away afterward! I can’t wait to hear about your trip to the beach and your plans to celebrate all over again in England (in Kevin’s dashing accent!). Thank you so much for letting us tell your love story!
Kellie, you made a stunning bride!
Kellie and Kevin chose to see each other before the ceremony, and they had such a lovely First Look, filled with lots of love and laughter!
They just couldn’t take their eyes off each other.
I love this shot that Ed captured. Kellie is just radiant with joy!
I always have a soft spot for Catholic weddings, since we are Catholic ourselves. The church was lovely and made for beautiful, classic photos.
Kellie and Kevin took a few moments to enjoy each other before the ceremony started.
Kellie’s dad didn’t want to miss a moment. I love this shot of him gazing at her!
Ed captured this perfect shot of Kellie’s dad welcoming Kevin to the family. It’s moments like this that make a wedding day!
The Great Hall was decorated beautifully for the reception. The whole team did an awesome job making it look gorgeous!
Kellie and Kevin could not contain their happiness during their first dance!
Near sunset, we took a break for just a few more portraits in beautiful light.
