26 Jul Colorful Intimate Memphis Botanic Garden Wedding
I say it all the time, because it’s so true: our favorite thing about our job is that we have new friends when the wedding is over. But with Kristi and Matt, we ended up with new friends before the wedding! We got along so well with them right away. And when they pulled out three bottles of flavored tequila after their engagement session and invited us to stay for cocktails, we sealed our friendship right then and there! Since that day, we have shared more cocktails, and even more laughs. We looked forward to their wedding not only as photographers, but as friends! We’re so thrilled to be sharing this one today!
A wedding day is so special because two people are joining together in love (we’re all about the love!). It’s even more special when two families join together as one unit. Matt has two adorable boys, and Kristi was beyond excited to call them her sons too. They were included in every part of the day, and they took their “best men” jobs very seriously!
Kristi is a big fan of color, and she tied together bright yellows, corals, oranges, and reds into a very stylish wedding palette. Even her engagement ring has a yellow diamond! She and Matt were married at the Memphis Botanic Garden in a very intimate ceremony, followed by cake and champagne. We took some portraits afterward around the gardens, and the iconic red bridge was a perfect pop of color to match their day!
Kristi and Matt, I can’t tell you what it meant to us to be there for your nuptials. You make such a great pair, and we love you together as much as we love you separately. We were so glad to witness the joining of your family, cheering you on behind our cameras! I only wish that we could have joined you in Mexico for your second ceremony! I know it was every bit as stylish and fun as the two of you. We can’t wait to hear all about it! In the meantime, we hope you enjoy a glimpse of your wedding in Memphis, as seen through our lenses! We love you both!
