13 Sep annie + larry: joined. a heartwood hall wedding.
We all started the day unsure of how it would go. Clouds filled the morning skies, and rain was threatening, though none had fallen yet. But as the time drew nearer to to moment when Annie and Larry would devote their lives to each other, the sun had come out, and the day was beautiful. It was the first of many signs that this day was meant to be!
Annie and Larry’s wedding day was filled with tradition. Jewish weddings are so unique, and each part of it is bathed in meaning, making it a truly exquisite thing to witness. Every detail, including the signing of the kettubah, the breaking of the glass under the chuppah, and the celebration of the Hora at the reception, served to make the knot that they tied just that much tighter. But perhaps even more importantly, Annie and Larry are now joined to go forward, to make their own traditions, and create meaning in every part of their lives. Together.
Heartwood Hall is always a lovely place to start a wedding day!
Annie and her mother share a very special relationship, and it was truly a joy to watch them together!
I love this shot that Ed captured of Larry and his mom greeting each other with a hug.
Annie made the most gorgeous bride! I especially loved her veil.
Larry, you clean up quite nicely too!
I can’t tell you how thrilled we were to pull up and see the chairs were outside! The florist waited as long as possible to set up the chuppah, so that we could be sure it wasn’t going to rain. It turned out so beautiful!
The signing of the ketubbah…
One of my favorite moments was the hug that the flower girl gave Larry after she walked down the isle!
Married!
the bridal party was so happy after the ceremony!
The light could not have been more perfect for wedding portraits after the ceremony.
Larry could not stop smiling! Can you blame him?
The Heartwood Hall barn was decorated beautifully for the reception.
The First Dance…
The Hora!! I’ve always wanted to photograph one of these!
The toasts were heartfelt and emotional.
Love this! The end of the night.
Ed’s shot of their final kiss for the day.
Annie and Larry, we can’t tell you what a joy it was to capture your love! The entire day was perfection, and you both could not have been any more obviously in love! We fell in love with you, and with your families and friends. Thank you!
Here’s to tradition. And a rainless day. And love. Cheers!
