project life 2013: cover

And so it begins.

Project Life 2013 Cover

I’m a photographer. So I never have a problem taking photos. In fact, I took well over 1,000 personal photos last year. But I’m ashamed to say that I never print them. They’re on my computer, and that’s how we have to look at them. If my kids want a photo of themselves, I post it on Facebook for them. It’s disgraceful.

So I decided to make a change. I want my kids to be able to look through their memories. To pass them on when I’m gone. To be able to sit on the sofa and flip through our family’s achievements over the year. But I don’t have a lot of free time, and traditional scrapbooking doesn’t work for me.

Enter Project Life. The idea is easy enough – print your photos, and journal on the smaller cards. One spread for each week of the year. I think I can do that. We’re going to see.

It’s March already, so I have some catching up to do. But I’ve made my cover. Even if that’s as far as I get, I’m pretty darn proud!

It’s creative, and fun, and it gets my photos printed. Most of the supplies I used are from various Studio Calico kits (which I’m so stoked to finally be actually using!) The cover took me less than an hour. I think that’s doable.

Here’s to printing your memories. Consistently. And to creating heirlooms. Cheers!
