31 Oct happy halloween!
Usually I end my post titles with a period, but I thought this one warranted an exclamation point! Even the oldest is awake early because this is her favorite day of the year. That’s right. Halloween even trumps Christmas around here! Well, at least it comes in a very close second.
Every year, we go back to our hometown for an infamous epic Halloween party. There’s even a decorating party the night before. It’s an entire weekend of frivolity (frivolity is one of my most favorite words)! This year was no exception. We ate, drank, danced, and partied all night in our costumes.
For the first few hours, it’s an all-ages party, so we had a Nascar driver and a member of the Power Rangers team tag along…
As well as the cutest snow bunny and sailor I’ve ever seen.
I was Cleopatra, and Ed was Hercules. Doesn’t my man have great legs? And who knew Batman had a thing for Tinkerbell? (she even dyed her hair blonde for the occasion. That’s dedication!)
Yes, my parents are awesome.
Group shot!
The wonderful hosts. My brother and his wife let us come in and take over their lives for an entire weekend. Thank you so much, you two!
Let the frivolity commence!
Happy Halloween, ya’ll!
Here’s to dressing up. And epicness, once a year. And frivolity. Cheers!
