Ft. Walton Beach

our first day in Ft. Walton Beach

We are beach people. All of us. So, naturally, the first thing we do when we get to Ft. Walton Beach is hit the sand.

Our trip was pretty uneventful. Just the way I like it. The kids slept most of the way, so we drove almost without stopping. We were all just ready to be here! After we unpacked all our stuff (and we brought a LOT of stuff!!) into the condo that we will call home for the next week, we ran downstairs to catch the last of the sun.

I took my camera, and Jessie requested pictures. LOVE that.

We conned Alex into a few… I am so proud of the relationship these two have.

I am so lucky to be called mom by this gorgeous thing!

I’ve been taking it easy with the camera since we’ve been here. We’ve either been spending our time at the beach or at the convention center, supporting our fellow dancers. I’m letting myself put the camera down for a bit and just enjoy life. Yes, it’s important to have photos (and we probably feel that need more than average since we are photographers), but it’s nice to relax and be a part of things instead of always observing them through my lens.

But not to worry, there will still be plenty of photos!

Meanwhile, Jessie is here to dance. I cannot WAIT to see her take the stage. Today, she will have her solos. I’ll be the nervous wreck, but she’s right at home when she is dancing.

Wish us luck!

She was awesome in her solos & she was as beautiful on stage as she is in these photos!
