15 Feb five faves friday.
So, because I know you are all dying of curiosity, I did get my scallops and cocktails last night. Both were divine. But the company was the best. Thank you, Ed, for an evening full of awesome!
Also, in case you were wondering, Ed bought me the new Lifeproof case for my iPhone 5 for Valentine’s Day. He just didn’t know it until I told him. The conversation went a little like this:
- Me: You just ordered me a Valentine present 🙂
- Him: Yay! Love it when that happens. What did I get you?
- Me: A pink Lifeproof case. And you saved 15% with a coupon!
Yes. We’re so romantic.
This is what I got him:
1. my favorite card. ever.
Adorable, right? I love Etsy. But I’m counting this as my real Valentine’s Day present:
2. the most awesome sofa. ever.
This thing is the most amazing sofa ever. It’s a work of midcentury modern art! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to take it home with me. I love it so much. I could sit there for hours, with my iPad, playing
3. my favorite iPad game right now:
I’ve gotten my entire family hooked on this game, including the ‘rents. (Yes, I just said ‘rents. Does that make me cool?) It’s a hidden objects game with intrigue, good design, and friendly neighbors. If you give it a try, be my neighbor! My garden name is The Grey Havens.
When I’d rather play a game with someone else, I always turn to cards. Especially when they are
4. These beautifully awesome Bohemia playing cards:
I ended up with two decks of these bad boys, and I just can’t bring myself to break the seal on one of them. They’re beautifully designed, and what I like most is that their start-up was funded by Kickstarter. I love helping other creatives when I can, and this community does some awesome things for awesome people.
Now that I’ve used the word awesome at least five times in this post, I’m going to finish up with
5. Homeland. The most awesome TV show. For now.
Ed and I seem to go from one tv show addiction to another. It took us awhile to jump on this bandwagon, but we were hooked from episode 1. The good thing about starting late is that we can watch a bunch in a row, without having to wait a week between episodes. But we’ll be done with Season 2 soon, then we’ll have to wait until September like the rest of America. Oh well. I’m sure we can find something else to fill the gap. Season 3 of Game of Thrones should be out soon!
Here’s to new sofas. And all the awesome things you can do on them. And the word awesome. Cheers!
