18 Oct fall flowers + fruit.
I’m afraid I’m going to have to admit jumping on the Fall bandwagon. Fall isn’t too bad. For the non-swimming seasons, it’s definitely my favorite. At least the colors are warm, even if the temperatures aren’t. My home (it’s more than just a house!) definitely appreciates it when that nesting instinct kicks in. Since my pool is only for decoration now, I’m using the time that I’d rather be swimming to cozy up the joint.
Early this year, Ed and I decided to start having client meetings at our home. This has been a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that we have to keep the house clean most of the time. The curse is that we have to keep the house clean most of the time! But another blessing that I didn’t anticipate is that our home always has fresh flowers, since I send Ed to the market (I think market just sounds way cooler than grocery store!) for a couple bouquets every time we have a meeting.
Flowers are awesome. Just sayin’. Here are a few photos of some arrangements I threw together for the season:
(photo tip: backlighting your photos by shooting into the light blows out the background so that you can’t see how messy my backyard is!)
I love pears. They’re pretty, and taste great too. The grasses came from my backyard.
Anyone else get in the decorating spirit for fall? Share your ideas! I always need help in this department.
Here’s to Fall, grudgingly. And flowers. And warm colors. Cheers!
