29 Apr Stylish Nashville Engagement

We want every engagement session (and wedding!) we do to be as unique as possible. To do that, we always tailor our sessions around our couples, including things like their favorite colors, their favorite places to go, and their favorite activities to do together. Basically, the things that make up their LIFE together. In this case, Robyn and Nick currently live in Nashville, so their life is there. Nashville is an easy drive for us, so it was a no-brainer that we would go to them for this session. We have been looking forward to this engagement session ever since we first met with Robyn and Nick, and it was everything we dreamed, and more!

We knew at our initial meeting that Robyn and Nick were the perfect AHP Couple. We loved them right away! They have the kindest hearts, love fiercely, and have a style all their own. An added bonus? They are one seriously good looking couple! After spending an entire day with them, we can honestly say that we love them even 200% more. This session was a little longer than our typical shoots. Because it was a “destination engagement,” they had us for the whole day. I’m so glad we got extra time to spend with them! We were able to take it super slow, be extra relaxed, and get to know each other really well. We even had time for a cocktail break in the middle of it! I’m seriously thinking of incorporating that idea into all our shoots – it was the best decision, and Nick would definitely agree. Anything to make our grooms more comfortable!

As you will see, Robyn has the BEST style! I worked with her closely to choose outfits that would best represent them and the theme of their wedding. Before anyone asks, all her outfits (and some of the jewelry!) came from Rent the Runway. SUCH an awesome source for an engagement shoot! We will have the pleasure of working with Andria Lewis again for Robyn and Nick’s wedding later this year. I can’t say much right now, but just know that Robyn’s engagement outfits coordinate with their wedding PERFECTLY! The colors were chosen with intention, and you’ll see how it all ties together after the wedding. We can’t wait!

After a change of outfits, we continued our exploration of Nashville. Something a little warmer for later in the day…

Robyn and Nick saved their last outfit change for sunset. Nick happened to remember this secluded high point in the middle of the city that had awesome views of the skyline. It also had amazing views of Nashville’s rolling hills and countryside in the distance. Nashville is so pretty!

I asked them to pick their favorite “cuddle pose” from the whole day, and this is what they chose. I love it! A perfect way to end the perfect day.

When we were all done, Nick let out a sigh of relief, as guys usually do. Girls are usually more excited about photos than the guys. I laughed at him and he confessed that he had a great time, and he didn’t feel any of the pressure and anxiety that he was expecting. It makes my heart so happy to hear that! Robyn and Nick were such troopers, putting up with us and our cameras for a few extra extended hours. We all had a blast, and we wouldn’t do it any other way!
