27 Jan Best of Engagement Sessions 2015
I know, I know. 2015 was an entire MONTH ago! And I’m just now getting around to doing our big engagement session wrap-up post of the year. What can I say? I’m starting this year a bit overdue. But we’ve been working really hard behind the scenes to make 2016 the best year yet! January always comes with some major re-organization and a flurry of new ideas and inspiration. But with that said, I will kind of miss 2015. We had the honor of working with some of the best (and most beautiful!) brides. Luckily for us, many of these couples won’t get married until later this year, so we get to see them again!
We love engagement sessions so much! They allow us to really get creative, since we’re not confined by a strict timeline or the weather. But mostly, they’re just fun. This is the time we really get to know our brides and grooms. We learn what they like and don’t like, what makes them laugh. We find out more about their styles, and how they love. There’s so much that an hour or two together can tell us! The engagement session is really the point where a client becomes a friend. We laugh, we bond. Oh, and we take some beautiful photos along the way too!
This year was extra-amazing in the engagement session department. We worked closely with each of these couples to choose the best location, outfits, and season for their personalities. We really wanted to show who they are as a couple, and I think we succeeded!
Some of our favorite things about our 2015 engagement sessions:
- We got to travel to some beautiful places, like Jacksonville, Athens, and Oxford.
- We got to meet a few adorable puppies!
- Water really seemed to play a big part this year, and that’s just fine with us!
- We turned the Mississippi River into a beach.
- A tandem bike!
- We’re so glad our AHPbrides aren’t afraid of color (or long, red dresses)!
- We covered the whole year, from January to November.
- That time we had an NFL stadium all to ourselves!
But the best part of these photos? Our very favorite part of each and every one? Our couples. We are so lucky to be able to do what we love, and we couldn’t do it without our brides and grooms! Thank you so much to each and every one of you. For your awesomeness. For your trust. And most of all, for your hearts. We love you all!
